For the road—because there is always knitting for the road—I brought along some gray and blue and dusty rose Peace Fleece, the lovely slipper pattern from Elizabeth at The Sitting Tree, and all the best intentions to finiah a pair or two in the next few days.
We arrived at George's grandmother's house late yesterday evening, ahead of the worst of the weather, and have been spending a good deal of time sitting around the table with sisters and cousins and drinking more coffee than we ought to. No one seems to mind very much the ever-present yarn, so I'm making good progress.
I didn't bring much reading with me; I usually do, just in case there is down time. (There never is.) The latest issue of Brain, Child found its way into my mailbox on Monday, and I couldn't resist tucking it into my bag. I still haven't read any further than the first essay (which I read standing at the kitchen counter while I was supposed to be packing).
