Today, I am...
:: feeling grateful that we live around the corner from a wonderful fire house with firefighters who are very kind and generous with their time to a four-year-old who is a little bit obsessed with them.
:: spending the morning in our creating space, helping Julia and Asher finish the last bits of their craft swap.
:: planning an afternoon in the garden, cleaning beds and doing the rest of my early planting.
:: appreciating the rains that fell last night, giving our newly planted carrot and onion and lettuce seeds a good watering.
:: thinking that I need one more rainy day to make Asher's curtains so his room will be finished.
:: finding it hard to believe that in a few short months the backyard beds will be full and lush and green again.
:: wondering if it is really going to be 70 degrees on Monday and then snow on Tuesday, like the weatherman says.
:: turning my attention to the boxes still in the attic, which we are committing to culling by at least 20 percent over the next few months.
:: looking forward to a visit from my parents, less than a month from now.
:: hoping to receive word soon that a much-anticipated package is on its way from Texas.
:: wishing you all good things this April day, as winter finally gives way to spring.
Playing along today with the simple woman's daybook.
